2016-2017

I have been the Rogers PE teacher since 2013.  I have my Bachelor of Science degree from Bradley University in Early Childhood Education.  I am certified in Physical Education and Special Education.  I have my Master’s degree in Education from Lindenwood University.

I played softball at Bradley University and was part of the first ever Conference Championship team in 2009.  After graduating, I have coached softball at the high school level and gave lessons to ladies of all ages.  I have been a speed/agility coach for high school and college athletes.  On a personal level, I have competed in a bodybuilding competition, ran a half marathon, completed a Spartan Sprint race, and currently train and compete in Crossfit.  In the future, I plan to get a second Masters, become a certified Crossfit coach, and continue to improve myself physically and mentally.  I wish to set a great example for your child.

Dress:

Be sure your child is wearing proper shoes for P.E. class.  Boots, sandals, flip flops, slippers, crocs, and other footwear besides tennis shoes, are a safety hazard during physical education class, and your child will be unable to participate if shoes are forgotten.  If your daughter wishes to wear a dress to school, please ensure shorts are worn under the dress.  If your child is not prepared 3 times in a grading period, their grade will be lowered.

Conduct:

Each student receives a daily grade.  Through demonstration of “Bear Behaviors” in class, students maintain their grade.

Take Care of Yourself: Wear the proper shoes, follow rules, come in and leave quietly

Take Care of Each Other: Use encouraging words; treat others how you wish to be treated

Take Care of Your School: Respect equipment, help clean up
