Dear Rogers Families,
I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to inform you about an exciting educational event happening at Rogers on April 8th - a partial solar eclipse!
To mark this celestial event and enhance our students' learning experiences, we have organized special activities in collaboration with the Oakville High School students. Here's what your son/daughter can expect:
- On the afternoon of April 8th, we will gather in the gym for a school assembly led by the students of the Oakville High School Science National Honor Society. They will present an engaging session about the science behind solar eclipses, including how they occur and their significance.
- Following the presentation, we will head to the upper field for a unique opportunity to view the partial eclipse. Each student and staff member will be provided with eclipse glasses to safely observe the phenomenon.
We believe that this event will offer a valuable learning experience for our students, allowing them to witness a rare celestial event firsthand.
Thank you for your ongoing support of experiential learning opportunities at Rogers. If you have any questions or concerns about the partial solar eclipse event, please don't hesitate to reach out.
Your partner in education,
Patrick
