As we approach the end of another eventful week, I wanted to share a few updates and express my gratitude. First and foremost, I want to thank April May for her outstanding organization of the Mother-Son Bowling event last weekend. It was a joy to attend and witness the excitement and laughter shared by all. Your efforts truly made it a memorable experience for everyone involved.

Preparing for winter weather and the possibility of “snow days”

In the 2023-2024 school year, Mehlville School District can use up to five virtual learning days if our schools close due to snow or inclement weather. If more than five weather closures occur, we will use traditional snow days. Traditional snow days will be made up starting on May 30, 2024.

Board selects Dr. Jeff Haug as Mehlville School District’s next superintendent

In a unanimous vote on Friday evening, the Mehlville Board of Education has selected Dr. Jeff Haug as the district’s new superintendent beginning July 1, 2023. Dr. Haug will replace Dr. Gaines, who has been serving as superintendent for the past 8 years and will be retiring this summer.

How Prop S impacts students and staff at Rogers Elementary School

An overwhelming majority of Mehlville School District voters passed Prop S on April 6. Prop S will fund projects to improve student safety and accessibility and complete deferred maintenance without increasing the tax rate.
